It has evolved as an expert in Entrepreneurship, particularly building livelihoods and creating rural jobs along the entire value chain in rural areas, ensuring that women and youth have a decent income and voice to change their own circumstances. From past 27 years, it is working with poor women in rural areas of India to improve their skills as producers and their knowledge of the markets they operate in, so as to ensure long-term returns. Currently, Udyogini is working in 5 states – Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and head office is at New Delhi. Udyogini is engaging with over 50,000 women and youth in 22 different products such as honey, lac, chilli, tamarind, herbal tea, ghee, and many. The three core approaches of Udyogini are enterprise training, value chain development and market linkages.

CSWS was set-up as a registered society by a few socially enterprising educated youths to bring economically and socially hard pressed people of flood prone and agriculture based area to mainstream development. The relentless endeavours helped the people of the area to acquire modern technology to compliment traditional mat weaving skills, modern health facilities to overcome IMR and MMR rates, acquire access to education for destitute children (6 to 18 yrs.) and enjoy peaceful old age with help from INGO, GO and FI association.

Urmul has been working with the desert communities in these inhospitable conditions using an integrated development approach since 1986. The organization focuses majorly on providing support to the rural communities in areas of health, education, women and child welfare, water & sanitation and livelihoods. As part of Non-Farm Livelihood, the organization has been successfully promoting traditional handicrafts sine 1991 and have been instrumental in putting the rural artisan communities of the region on the international map. Today we work with over 3000 artisans across the western Rajasthan region in crafts varying from hand-embroideries, hand-weaving, applique, tie-dye and extra-weft weaving. The organization’s efforts have not only empowered the rural communities, but also brought the women to the forefront of the handicraft industry in the region, which has enabled them to organize themselves in SHGs and become bread earners for their families. Today the hand-embroidery cluster employs 99% women, who take leadership roles in driving the clusters and today attracts big brands like FabIndia, IKEA, Reliance and Aditya Birla group, who work with these artisans through Urmul or directly.

SOOVA is a non-profit voluntary organization, since 2000 working for the development of Tribal, Dalits, Landless, Women, marginal and small farmer's children, & vulnerable groups, through demonstrating different developmental initiatives focusing on women empowerment in rural, scheduled Castes and tribal communities. Closely working with Government, Community and other stakeholders at all levels for strengthening of services in the program areas with a vision “to seek a society, where every individual live with an equal opportunity, rights and dignity” and to achieve the mission “Bringing sustainable change among vulnerable community especially women and tribes to live healthy in an enabling environment”. It has 21 years of working experiencing in Sustainable livelihood, Natural Resource Management, Livelihood Development, Women Empowerment, Health and Nutrition awareness Program Education, Skill up gradation of Youth, Handicraft promotional activity and by this intervention we have reached 5000 tribal family through Backyard poultry development, 500 women with sal leaf and honey processing unit, 1000 acres mango & guava cultivation of 1250 farmers, 500 acres lemon grass & Palmarosa Cultivation of 1000 farmers and established 10 oil distillation unit under Udala Palmarosa Cluster.

IINREM was founded in 1991 with the mission to help people in rural and semi-urban communities in India develop the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s economy through sustainable development practices that support natural resources. Indian Institute of Natural Resources Management has set up a ‘Brown-field’ Regular cluster for Nautical Artefacts in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. IINREM has implemented Cluster development Scheme under Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana (Sponsored by Ministry of Textiles, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Government of India). Recognizing the urgent need for skills development, IINREM then went on to establish Vocational Training Centers in rural areas in several states. Approximately 10,000 youths have been trained, and the programs have been supported by Central Govt Ministries, State Government Departments and Corporate. Several corporate businesses are partners in this program for providing jobs to the skilled workforce, and have made jobs available to more than 7000 graduates from our training programs. Its expertise and experience in growing spans nursery development, planting material production through seed, vegetative and tissue culture propagation, homestead and block planting, and bamboo farming. In processing, CIBART undertakes the establishment and operation of bamboo processing units and treatment plants, skills enhancement programme, handicraft, furniture, packaging, construction, biomass and charcoal briquettes, and biomass-based power production.

M/s Sri Vishwakarma Gold Ornaments Manufacturers (Goldsmiths) Industrial Cooperative Society Limited (SVGOMICSL) was registered under industrial cooperative Societies act, 1964, in the year 2006, with the main objective of developing and implementing gold jewellery activities and handhold goldsmiths in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. At present the society is having its registered office at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, Shop No: 29, Bandar Road, Vijayawada, Krishna District. It is having 150 members including artisans belonging to gold and silver jewellery industry. It is also having 10 staff in the areas of accounting, marketing, quality control etc. Society is having Common Facility Centre for Value addition, hall marking cum testing lab and design development centre which was established under MSECDP scheme of DC-MSME at Vijayawada through its SPV namely Sri Vishwakarma Goldsmiths Private Limited. The society is also having its common sales outlet and all its member products under common brand name called SWARNABAZAR.

DESI (stands for Developing Ecologically Sustainable Industry) is a brand that is also the name of the Trust (Desi Trust) registered in the year 2000 with the aim of providing an urban market for marketing Charaka products. The board of Trustees consists of eminent writers, ex-servicemen, artists, respected designers and representatives from the Charaka Co- operative Society. The vision of the organization is to create a successful model for alternate rural industry employing traditional, ecologically sustainable practices that help make our villages stronger, build equitable communities and bridge the city-village divide. Their mission to promote handloom as “The fabric of the Future”.

MACS is working with Tribal people of Visakhapatnam Agency, AP. We promote Organic Agriculture, Livelihood opportunities, Fair trade system in Agriculture sector. MACS also conduct training programmes to Farmers with the support of KVKs, Horticulture research stations, and Department of Horticulture. MACS believes village centric approach to improve the socio-economic development of the rural/Tribal areas. MACS provides technical and marketing support for the Tribal farmers to promote their produce in the bulk and retail channels to get better prices. MACS also provides support to farmers to link up them to subsidies/schemes offered by the Government.

Aryabhatta Institute of Education and Technology Trust (AIET)is a not-for-profit social enterprise registered in Bhubaneswar, India. It aims at giving education to women, especially to tribal girl child with its other sibling “Bitiyaa (NGO)”. PPMF is an NGO started in 2008 with the mission of fostering partnership for a better future. Since its inception, it has been engaging in various community development projects with the generous support of donors, partner institutes, IMEDF, and MoMSME. PPMF plays an active role in the organic farming space in Northeast India. Commercial plantation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (lemongrass and citronella) for extraction of its essential oils was started in 2008 in the hills of Manipur and we have the distinction of being the pioneer in this field in Manipur. We have also worked with CSIR, NEIST, IBSD, etc in the past. Skill Samaritan Foundation’s work began back in 2012 in an arcadian village in rural Haryana known as Sirohi. They are a competent organization in providing technical assistance to clusters for the SFURTI scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Keystone Foundation is a not for profit trust based at Kotagiri, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. The organisation works in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve (NBR) since 1993 (www.keystone-foundation.org). The Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) specializes in promotion of MSMEs through cluster and value chain led development. FMC was promoted as a Registered Trust with the technical support of a then UNIDO Cluster Development Programme, in June 2005. In India, FMC has worked/working with around 200 MSME clusters, done/got done studies/research in another 150 MSME clusters and worked with 250 Business Membership Organizations (BMOs). Fair Trade Forum – India (FTF-I) is the National Network for Fair Trade in India. It works with more than 200,000 producers – artisans and farmers – through more than 100 member organisations. FTF-I is a not-for-profit organisation, registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It enables more than 100000 grassroots level Fair Trade producers including artisans & farmers to improve their businesses through greater engagement with the Fair Trade. Majority of them are from the rural areas. FTF-I represents WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation), the global network for Fair Trade, in India. FTF-I also promotes sustainable consumption and fair services with special emphasis on developing domestic market for Fair Trade in India. At present FTF-I has 101 members, which includes 87 organisations and 14 individuals. More than 5000 groups are working with the FTF-I’s member organizations.
